Frequently asked questions

What does the test shuffler do?
It reorders the questions and the answer choices of a Word test to produce several versions of the same test. Each version has its own code and the correct answers are recorded, so marking stays easy.
Which files can I upload?
Word (.docx) files that follow the ExamQR template: a table with the question, the correct answer and the question type. Use the sample file to start. For PDFs or free layouts, tick Convert with AI, or run the file through the quiz converter first.
How many versions can I make?
Up to 100 versions per run. The version codes are generated for you and you can edit each one.
Do I need an account?
No. The shuffler is free and works without signing in. An account is only needed for the optional AI conversion, which uses credits, and for running the exam online.
Can I run the shuffled test online?
Yes. After shuffling, publish the test as an online exam with ExamQR: automatic marking, anti-cheating options and reports.
